Blanchard Cemetery
This Cemetery is located in Northern Putnam County in Blanchard Township. This picture was taken from about 10 feet off the road, to give you an idea of how immense and barren it is. At one time there was a building here known as the Poplar Ridge Methodist Church. After the church left, it then became the Infirmary Cemetery as this is where the County Infirmary buried the people. Most of the people had no money, and so there are no stones. There are only a handful of markers left standing. A few markers can be found laying flat, and almost covered in dirt and grass. About 150-200 people from the County Infirmary are buried here with no markers. The only pictures of tombstones on this page are the names highlighted in orange.
